Table storage

When the table is not in use (which is most of the time) it needs to be securely stored out of the way. I wanted to find a neat way of doing this, so after sketching out a few ideas I came up with the following solution.

Table storage brackets

I drilled a hole through the middle of the table, routed a recess and glued a large washer on both sides, then made up a bracket which screws to the wall behind the table, like so…

Once the handwheel has been unscrewed, the bolt passes through the table…

and the handwheel is reattached.

And this is the table in its storage mode…

To support the other end of the table, I made this…

which works like so…

The table leg is kept in the bottom of the wardrobe.

When the table is needed it only takes a couple of minutes to set up.

One last item that needs a home is the small section/infill part of the bed frame. This is stored behind the driver’s seat…

and like the table, I use a handwheel to hold it in place.

Cost so far £610.00
